Job Profile: - Leading the entire purchase and packaging development for the main product and ancillary product segment - Identifying improvement of packaging material for existing products in terms of material structure, aesthetics, cost etc. - Conducting stability study on the product packaging - Sourcing and development of new vendors for packaging materials - Monitoring procurement of packaging material through proper negotiation for cost and lead time through cost break- up and process analysis - Conceptualizing and developing packaging for existing / new products - Identifying and developing latest technology in the field of packaging material/system - Drawing and implementation of Purchase policies under the approval of the management, and maintenance and updation of the Vendor data - Providing innovative solutions for product protection and delivery - Ensuring completion and maintenance of all packaging related documents like BOM, MPD, Change Control in a system - Updation of specifications for all domestic, and export products - Evaluating current vendors and analyzing cost effectiveness or leakages using QA methodology - Driving cost reduction projects along with Marketing team to deliver product margins - To have a clear project focus, supporting the purchase of Raw Material such as Commodities &amp; Staples at Operating level to help achieve objectives required to aid production of existing and new product development. - To manage the day-to-day activities of the Purchase department to ensure regular supply of Raw Materials. - Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers (probably turnkey including design) who are aligned to the company's needs - To monitor 3rd Party contract manufacturing operations, build more partners &amp; ensure quality control &amp; SOP adherence. - Investigating and analyzing to strengthen prevention of complaints and cost leakage related to market complaints and competitive market - Build and deploy distribution strategy (route to market) including transportation, warehousing and last mile delivery to support distribution growth - Manage logistics from supply plants to distribution centers across the country - Responsible for complete warehousing and Super Stockist Network management across the country for all products - Manage transportation from plant / distribution centers to final customer including route / vehicle planning for both modern and traditional trade to optimize customer service and freight - Responsible for ensuring high levels of Customer service (Viz DIFOT, Fill Rate etc.) at least possible Logistics and Distribution cost - Responsible for preparing annual logistics budgets and to ensure operations within budgeted spends. - Direct and control warehousing activities to ensure efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storage, repacking and distribution. Ensure appropriate financial, operational, quality controls and statutory / regulatory compliance to ensure operations in line with corporate requirement - Design and facilitate the implementation of innovative and technology driven logistics solutions - Use advanced methodologies for operational planning that optimizes Supply Chain Operations assets to achieve strategic and tactical deliverable - Responsible for managing performance of all service providers through contracts / service level agreements, monitoring and operations reviews - Establish mechanisms to monitor, review and report KPI's (e.g. cost, customer service, controls etc.) around effective management of logistics and distribution - Responsible for developing suppliers / service providers to provide logistics solutions to support efficient and effective distribution - Responsible for analyzing and reviewing new and potential customers' operational requirements. Prepare and review contracts (including solution designs, pricing and other information) - All Procurement : Direct and Indirect - Inventory -maintenance of stock, monitoring - Stores- Receipt and storage - Logistics : Finish Goods dispatch and transportation,Contract management, Annual budget preparation.
