Responsibilities for Head - Legal:

To draft, review, negotiate, advise and execute corporate commercial contracts involving departments of Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, Client Experience, Operations, Human Resources.

Finance and administration including customer contracts, services arrangement, Banking documentation, vendor contracts, Employment agreements, licensing arrangements, nondisclosure arrangements, statement of works IPR related documents (Patents, copyrights, marks and trade secrets), lease agreements, MOU's, Engagement letters and proposals and M & A related legal work.

To anticipate, assess, identify and advice on legal issues and contracts of general corporate nature involving different business lines of the company.

Keeping track of regulatory and legal developments and sensitizing external and internal teams on issues relevant to them.

Work with domestic/global law firms for various legal matters

Work on IP filings and Design, trademark registrations across the Group companies

Any M&A/IPO/Corporate Transaction experience on legal documentation will be an added advantage.

Development of checklists, guidance notes, work instructions for consistent application of the lifecycle of such contracts.

Compliance of corporate and statutory laws and regulations involving MCA, SEBI, RBI and other governmental authority.

Develop database and knowledge modules for corporate and securities law compliance and litigation database for applicability in various business lines.

Recording and managing of all claims, disputes, notices etc. and collaboration with various teams for resolution of the same

Co-ordinate with external counsels/statutory departments/government departments to ensure adjudication of proceedings.

Willing and able to perform standardized work across various business lines.

Roles is a Corporate role with location in Mumbai

Educational Qualification:

Equivalent degrees include BA. LL.B, BSc. LL.B, Bcom LL.B, B.B.A LL.B, or C.S. LL.B Can be either on a five-year integrated basis or both degrees can be obtained consecutively or concurrently. Candidate should be from a UGC recognized and NAAC accredited university.

Experience Required:

- PQE of 8 to 15 years in a Corporate Legal Department or Corporate Law firms.

- Specific Working Knowledge required

- Well versed with statutes, regulations and working knowledge on legal matters. Should have working knowledge of the following: Securities law and regulations, business/mercantile law, corporate commercial law, labour laws, employment law and property law, corporate commercial law and Company Law.

Strong legal analytical and drafting skills, communication, time management and organisational skills.

Very good communication and negotiation skills.
