- Develop vendor base for electric and electronic commodity
- Contract negotiations
- Vendor relationship
- Preparing Purchase Order / Contract, Lead team of direct reportees
- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
Key Deliverables/ Outcomes
- Minimum two vendors for each component
- Cost Reduction
- Timely material availability
- MIS
Profile
- 12+ years of experience in an achievement oriented set up
- Procurement of a total of 500 sets of components / WTGs
- Person should have good understanding of such vendors in Indian markets as the plan is to move the current vendor base of China & Europe to indigenize the manufacturing of products to India
- Understanding of contractual obligations & commercials of sea freight companies (and eventually air and land too)
- Import rules (from the geographies mentioned) and ability to manage large amount of negotiation (heavy and large equipment, large volumes)
- Planning & Organizing skills besides strong supply forecasting
