Position Summary:

The Head of Product Design is an avid evangelist of design led product development as well as a great leader who can transform disruptive ideas into minimum viable concepts with the help of highly talented UX designers. The Head of product design will be the leader responsible to spearhead research to uncover new user experience solutions and ensure the experience meets a world-class standard. As a key member of the senior leadership team, he/she will report to the Chief Product Officer .

Job Description

The Head of Product Design will lead a diverse design team through incubation, development, launch and refinement of the products and be responsible for all design related activities including strategy, research, interaction design and visual design.

Head of Product Design leads the organization that transforms fundamental user insights into delightful product experiences that put consumers first and drive business results. This encompasses user research, visual design, experience design (UX and CX), system design, and setting the design strategy across the company.

The candidate is expected to establish strategic partnerships with niche design firms to meet the needs of the organization. You will help your team collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other partners to craft human-centered B2B products. You- ll have a strategic design hand in bringing new products to life, working every day with your partners in Product Management, Sales, GTM, Operations and Engineering.

- You- ve got a nuanced understanding of the design process and how to adapt it to different contexts.

- You- ve conceptualized and designed world class product experiences by building wireframes, crafting prototypes, and conducting user research.

- You- ve led teams to simplify complex software products.

- You- ve managed and mentored medium-to-large multi-disciplinary design teams

- You- ve hired and grown teams quickly, successfully leading teams through rapidly changing environments

The candidate must be aware and conversant with all aspects of the product - value proposition, benefits, business model and functionality.

Qualification

- Candidate must have 10+ years of Professional experience.

- 5+ years of experience in product design management and leadership, preferably in software for enterprises and at least 10 years overall experience designing and delivering products as a user researcher, user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role.

- Fluency in UX best practices with a passion for simplifying complex problems

- A strong portfolio of design work showing end-to-end product design and experience managing teams

- Evidence of using research and data to steer design thinking

- A Bachelor- s, or equivalent degree, in Design, HCI, or related field
