Record to Report - Manager

We are looking for a Manager to support Record to Report (General Ledger) process for our Client support team.

The GL accounting Manager will be responsible to manage the GL team and performs a variety of advanced non-routine accounting tasks with significant focus on General Ledger accounting. This position is also responsible for managing the team's deliverable, understanding the accounting pronouncements and implementing them, conducting key activities such as Month-End and Quarter-End close, Fixed Asset saccounting and depreciation run, Account Reconciliations and Audits

Location : Mumbai

Work Timing :- 11:00 AM to 08:00 PM (1:30 AM to 10:30 AM EST), flexibility needed during month close.

Job Description :

- Actively manage team's deliverables for quality and timeliness and be the SPOC for on-site manager for all requirements on GL function

- Prepare documents/ work paper in support of latest pronouncements, accounting treatment and other adjustments that can be used as back-up for justification of accounting entries.

- Prepare/ Review financials, schedules and account reconciliations on balance sheet and income statement line items

- Review and own variance analysis, budget v/s actual, cost-centre summary, Audit support for tasks/entities assigned to him.

- Create and maintain SOP's for all standard tasks.

- Actively participate in discussion with on-site team, participate in month close calls, discussion with Internal/ External auditors and other external agencies.

- Contribute to ERP requirements documentation and actively engage with them in requirement analysis and solution designing, testing etc.

- Lead initiatives to automate processes and procedures and other Ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time

Job Requirements :

- Have proficient experience in General Ledger accounting and knowledge of US GAAP and controls

- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience in handling multiple entities spread over different geographies.

- Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and efficient at multi-tasking with adjustable priorities.

- Demonstrates a proactive can do attitude.

- Demonstrates commitment to quality in all aspects of work, despite a heavy workload and time pressures.

Qualification/ Skills :

- Qualified Public Accountant with 7+ years of experience.

- Detailed understanding of Great Plain/ Other leading ERP

- Team handling experience of minimum 3-4 FTE

- Advanced Excel/MS Office skills
