The Branch Head will spearhead profitable business performance of the branch; the incumbent will hold ultimate responsibility for manpower built-up, volumes of business and expansion of Agency force.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust system to manage Business Managers and the Agents; he will also ensure effective coordination with Trainers, customer support and Agency Development teams to ascertain smooth business processes in the branch.

The incumbent will also be responsible to ensure that in the team he heads, there is an environment where employee potential is maximized.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Branch Profitability

- Meet the Recruitment, Licensing and the revenue target of the Branch.

- Periodic review of sales; analyze territory wise performance vis-à-vis target and achievement

- Set targets for Business Managers based on past performance, Branch plan and potential

- Ensure successful implementation of sales promotion strategies and campaigns to maximize thru-put from them; evaluate existing sales promotional strategies and provide feedback.

- Manage costs and show significant savings over the proposed budgets.

- Collate, review and make recommendations on Branch profitability in Regional meets.

2. Business Environment Mapping & Strategizing:

- Forecast future business trends and accurate evaluation of potential opportunities and devise ways and means of capitalizing on them.

- In-depth knowledge of territory to ascertain expectations of the end customer and aligning the team to manage the same.

- Track the performance of Aegon Religare Life Insurance products vis-à-vis relevant industry offerings and give field level inputs on the same. Also pass on the filed level competition information to seniors to help formulate sales strategies.

- Effective implementation of strategies & Processes laid down by Aegon Religare.

- Focus on market penetration in the territory and branch growth.

3. Ensure Input Management through defined Sales Management Processes.

- Take ownership of driving the laid down sales development processes and coach the Business Managers to ensure implementation of the same.

- Keep a track of BM goal-sheets and conduct weekly Performance Review & Development Planning Sessions (PRDP) with individual Business Managers and update Sales Management System.

- Ensure that the Business Managers work towards putting in the expected inputs for Agency Development & business delivery.

- Create platforms for sharing information and ideas among Business Managers

- Coach the BM on ideal sales process & PRDP process by demonstrating role model customer calls and Agent PRDP sessions.

- Supervise Business Managers and value add towards strengthening relationships with the Sales Agents

4. Monitor Compliance, Regulatory, Customer Service Process and Quality Related Issues

- Ensure adherence to Standard Operational Procedures; promptly escalate compliance issues, if required

- Mandatory adherence to regulatory requirements of IRDA and other local laws.

- Ensure adherence to minimum response time in case of customer complaints

- Scrutinize process flows periodically and establish quality checks

- Monitor and leverage on MIS to minimize loss of leads and maximize conversions

- Lead prompt implementation of any new systems or processes

- Ensure satisfactory rating in Branch Sales Process, Finance and process Audits.

5. People Management and Development

- Ensure adherence to performance metrics to quantify performance

- Ensure that the business & product knowledge of the team is upgraded through regular checks and interventions from training teams.

- Encourage quality consciousness among the Branch team

- Identify specific training needs and facilitate skill development through various measures like coaching, mentoring

- Motivate, retain and provide viable options for career growth

- Ensure career and development planning of all team members

- Generate healthy competition among the team members

KEY CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

- Should be capable to display Man management skills, knowledge of local area, good networking & communication skills.

- Should exhibit a high level of integrity and lay emphasis on setting ethical standards across the organization.

PROFILE

- Candidate must either be a Graduate with at least 5 years of sales experience. Team management experience of 3 years is a must.

- Profiles having experience from Life Insurance Industry is only preferred.
