Job Description

Active role in the projects of implementation of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 in conjunction with the Finance transfor-mation project

Key Responsibilities

- Actively engage in the projects of implementation of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9

- Analyze the impact of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 Accounting standards (AS) on Functional & Business pro-cesses and financial systems.

- Prepare the technical position papers in line with the global methodology and drive the future state detailed system design

- Document the Accounting policies on the regulatory financial statements, disclosures, local financials for the solvency purpose and detailed accounting procedures at transition and on-going

- Engage with IT team to drive the designing and implementation of the new and future state system architecture for IFRS accounting structure, flow of information, interface and integration between CSM, Accounting sub-ledger and GL along with the pervasive Data Warehouse engine (Data Lakes)

- Flow of information for the purpose of regulatory reporting, consolidation and reconciliation pro-cesses and controls

- Project work on new disclosure implementation and related process improvements

- Ensure that all stakeholder requirements are understood and efficiently managed

Position Qualifications / competencies

- Chartered Accountant with 5+ years- experience working in Big 4 / 5 accounting firms

- Having relevant experience of having worked on designing the accounting policies, position papers, system tech integration for IFRS 4 or other IFRS (as IFRS 17 experience is yet to evolve)

- Strong knowledge of IFRS & Indian Accounting Standards

- Ability to understand, document and re-design processes

- Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to manage key stakeholder relationships

- Ability to take ownership and deliver within scheduled timelines
