Aegon Life Insurance - Manager - Actuarial Pricing

Job Description :

- Aegon Life Insurance Company is seeking to fill a position within the Actuarial Function which will involve working in the Pricing Team.

This role will provide opportunities to learn :

- Product ideation and design

- Product pricing and profit testing

- Feasibility analysis of products - both on a traditional and market consistent basis

- Filing/Re-filing of products with the regulator

- Striking balance between commercial considerations and risk management while pricing

Key Responsibility :

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

- Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders and reinsurers to achieve an optimal product design which satisfies the requirements of the sales channels.

- Ability to create and review pricing and profit testing models

- Provide main technical inputs and ensure robustness of pricing models and Illustrations

- Ability to contribute effectively in finalization of pricing assumptions

- Comprehensive analysis of the results under various sensitivities and comparison of product price/design with those of the competitors

- Prepare pricing reports for Regional review and IRDAI filing documents in a timely manner

- Actively participate in the product filing procedure - initial filing, subsequent queries and product approval, including reinsurer discussions.

- Identify new product opportunities for the digital business unit

Position Qualifications :

Required :

- 5+ years of work experience in the Actuarial team (pricing preferably) of a life insurance company

- CS (Actuarial Statistics, Risk Modelling and Survival Analysis) and CM (Actuarial Mathematics, Financial Engineering and Loss Reserving) exams passed

- Knowledge of different types of life insurance products

- Good knowledge of MS Excel & VBA

- Understanding cashflows and decrements of life insurance products

- Understanding of relevant Product related regulations and Pricing
