Title: AVP - Program Management

Location : open to any city in India (we offer work from anywhere)

Must haves: 

Education : B.E / B.E +MBA

- 10 -12 years of relevant experience in a large complex organization or major consulting firm acting in a project/program management capacity.

- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or SAFe certifications

- Hands-on experience of working with Agile framework & Kanban methodologies

- Ability to proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency

- Excellent Team leading, Stakeholder management

Role Summary :

- We are seeking an experienced AVP - Program Management having a rich background of working with Agile frameworks to support multiple Digital First projects and initiatives under AEGON Life Journey of being India's first fully digital insurance company.

- The ideal candidate should exhibit values like teamwork, willingness to learn, integrity, creativity and leads with excellence & innovation. Should be a good servant leader in achieving high levels of cohesion between several teams/squads to deliver new and enhanced product capabilities. Must be able to manage individuals and teams to discover and implement improved ways of collaborating and developing into high-performing, self-organizing, agile teams

Key Focus areas :

- Act as a central point of contact to drive cross squad coordination across multiple business and technology functions

- Work closely with Product Owners, business analyst and QA to progress along squads agenda

- Maintain team metrics and report project statuses (e.g., velocity/burn down charts, financial status, issues/risks, etc.) on a regular basis to Product Owner, and to senior stakeholders

- Takes ownership to drive through resolutions of issues or blockers, coordinate directly with other development/product teams on inter-dependencies or through scrum-of-scrum ceremony

- Provide regular updates to executives, major stakeholders on program planning and execution, keeping a pulse on the Business Roadmap

- Design and implement agile processes around Product Development Life Cycle and Engineering practices

- Track roadblocks, bottlenecks and issues and guide all squads to reduce inefficiencies

- Assess team and organization maturity and coach same to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and appropriate for the team and organization.

- Excel in conflict resolution as it arises and proactively guide the team to handle such occurrences

- Lay an emphasis on continuous learning through scheduled lunch and learns, workshops

- Keep a pulse on industry trends and best practices concerning agile methodologies and plan to leverage these practices (if appropriate) within the enterprise

Reporting Relationship & connections: This role would be report to Head - PMO
