Operational Risk Team Purpose Statement

Function as a team of consultants which follows a solutions-oriented approach for mitigating undesirable risks and identifying risk-taking opportunities.

Role Description

Aegon Life Insurance Company is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Operational Risk Gov-ernance & Reporting Analyst.

This role will provide opportunities to:

- Understand and implement modern operational risk management techniques within an Indian life in-surance company

- Interact with people at all levels from different areas of the organization

- Have a diverse and varied work coverage including quarterly reporting, presentations for senior man-agement, and ad hoc analysis

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Operational risk event and action plan recording and reporting

- Help plan and conduct Operational Risk awareness trainings across the organization

- Create quarterly reports and update KRIs within the stipulated timelines

- Review and maintain Operational Risk-related policies and ensure policy compliance

- Maintain Business Continuity Manual and conduct annual Business Continuity Plan testing

- Track aging of open issues and monitor risk assessment cycles

- Maintain a Loss Database for the company

- Manage the company's operational risk workflow system

Position Qualifications

Required

- At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the Indian life insurance industry (Audit, Risk, Com-pliance, etc.)

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

- Strong attention to detail, as well as effective verbal and written communication skill

- Problem solving skills

- Data interpretation & analytical skills

- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Visio

- Strong project management skills and tolerance for ambiguity

Desired

- Prior experience working in auditing

- Experience with automation projects and workflow management

- Worked on ORM tools specifically designed to perform, manage and report

- Knowledgeable of different types of life insurance products

- Ability to code in VBA/create Excel macros
