Advisor - Supply Chain Management - Consulting Firm (12-18 yrs)
Responsibilities:
- Ability to effectively engage with the customer for assessment of Supply Chain systems, data and tools landscape and provide recommendation
- Assess modeling needs based on customer problem statement and recommend the best advanced analytics tools to support them
- Develop Supply Chain analysis and solution approaches alongside customer team with understanding of key Supply Chain performance levers
- Own customer relationships including organizing and leading customer workshops
- Identify performance improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations
- Institutionalize learnings of the projects to enrich organizational assets & capabilities
- Provide training, documentation and other assistance to other associates to support and expand the practice of supply chain analytics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related area, Bachelor Degree in engineering, Mathematics, Science, Economics or any other quantitative field will be an added advantage
- 12+ years of experience in industrial engineering, operations research, or supply chain management
- Experience in Supply Chain advance analytics applications will be a strong plus
- Industrial or research experience in optimization techniques; ability to build models (particularly mixed integer programming) and heuristic algorithm development (such as genetic algorithm, simulated annealing etc.) will be a strong plus
- Strong abilities in problem definition and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must
- Ability to work well with all levels within the organization and at customer
- Must be able to discuss technical issues with a non-technical audience
- Must be able to work independently
- Open to travel is a must
