- Audit Management for BSLAMC - Drives the internal audit process for BSLAMC business in partnership with an outsourced audit firm within the time frame - Acts as the key point of contact for the firm for all internal audit requirements - Works closely with the firm to define scope of internal audit and prepare a detailed audit plan - Seeks concurrence from Head - Compliance and Risk Management on the audit plan and subsequent approvals from the Audit Committee - Drives the roll out of audit plan across selected functions by liaising with the respective functional heads - Monitors process between the audit firm and the departments on data request, data gathering and reporting - Oversees overall audit process and ensures adherence to timelines - Drives discussions on initial observations with the Management and addresses queries raised as a result of the audit process - Liaises with the firm to release the final Audit report and presentation to the Audit Committee - Updates independent Directors on the observations/ findings from the audit prior to the Audit Committee meeting - Shares cumulative details of the functional audits to Secretarial department and Audit Committee - Drives implementation of actions to be taken by respective functions based on the audit findings - Facilitates presentation of observations and findings by the audit firm to the Audit Committee and proactively elaborates on actions to be taken and control points implemented - Provides a status update to the Audit Committee on the action items during the follow up meetings scheduled at regular intervals - Oversees audits in branches and offshore subsidiaries, and presents the findings to the Audit Committee - Acts as a point of escalation for all audits in branches and offshore subsidiaries - Facilitates audits conducted by ABG, ABFSG and JV partner - Ad hoc Reviews and Periodic Audit related activities - Drives ad hoc reviews of selective processes and projects on Board or CEO's request - Assesses the new projects or processes from audit perspective, for instance, ensuring eligibility process and qualification along with actual disbursement for distributors' privileged club is adhered to - Tracks implementation of SEBI circulars from audit perspective - Drives investigations for specific cases as requested by CEO - Participates during the selection of auditors to provide internal requirements and conducts periodical assessment of the selected auditors. - Operational Risk Management for BSLAMC - Ensures monthly Risk updates are uploaded on the dashboard - Assesses risks on an ongoing basis, evaluates reasons for frequent changes / switches on the matrices and provides updates to Risk Management Committee, if required - Leads data interpretation and analysis of the matrices related to current and future risks - Leads data interpretation and analysis of reports like review and maintenance of operational loss received on a monthly basis from Finance - Provides updates to Risk Management Committee on policy matters involving risks, fraud risk assessment, and operational, financial and litigation risks - Drives Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) for each function to identify process risks and provide high to low rating to these risks - Ensures information is updated on PRISM application for RCSA on an ongoing basis and details are sent out to respective functions for regular review - Provides consultation to functions for the identified process risks and agrees on solutions to mitigate these risks - Leads mitigation and control testing for the identified risks across the organization - Provides details on RCSA to the Risk Management Committee on a periodic basis - Provides quarterly updates to Chairman's office on operational risk which includes trends on customer complaints, incorrect payments made to customers, fraud cases reported and status on the borrowing information - Drives daily random call checks for voice recordings in the dealing room - Monitors dealing room voice recordings to ensure that systems are maintained and updated as per the regulatory requirements - Operational Risk Assessment for New Processes - Drives risk assessment for new processes / functions by supporting SOPs and Policy Manual reviews - Liaises with functional heads to define risk mitigation measures, supports in investigative activities and suggests changes in the processes to mitigate future risks - Oversees engagement of risk management consultants if required, in agreement with the respective functional heads, for creating, updating and reviewing the processes based on their sunset clauses - Creation of Business Continuity Plan Framework and Implementation - Takes ownership of creating the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) framework along with the functional heads - Works closely with IT team and respective functions to drive communication and execute BCP across the organization - Ensures that timely updates are received on incidents like natural calamities, strikes, agitations, etc. or any other work disruptions that can impact BSLAMC business is their present locations, - Ensures assessment is conducted in a timely manner to measure such impaction business or employee/s and provides crisis watch report, when required - Provides real time updates to Management in case of any untoward incidents at HO or branches, and puts BCP into action if required with a quick turnaround - Team Management and People Development - Leads the team to accomplish audit objectives and minimize organizational risk - Empowers team to engage with internal stakeholders and external consultants on risk and audit requirements for BSLAMC - Ensures ongoing knowledge transfer and updates to the team through internal training and external industry interactions
