Adda52 - UX/UI/Design Head

Job Description

The Head of User Experience will lead and inspire a small team of Visual designers(UX) to create and execute the design for Adda52's product. In the process upskill the team to the level of User Experience designers.

Responsibilities will include organizing, growing and mentoring a team of 6+ team members and ensuring that work is timely, impactful and relevant to our needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the UX discipline, strong instincts for design and content development, a creative approach to usability studies and feedback, as well as an entrepreneurial and confident attitude.

Our product has some unique and exciting design challenges:

- Adda52 is a very fast growing, B2C business, used by millions across India primarily, Rummy & Poker being the tentpole customer offerings

- Our users expect simple, efficient experience, but at the same time, bold, inspiring visual design,

- Design challenges include: up-levelling the customer UI/ UX, while keeping it simple and stupid, but highly engaging to use. Implementing new features, improving existing ones and enhancing the look and cohesiveness of the entire experience.

In particular, you will have to :

- Create intuitive and elegant UX solutions to the problems raised by our users and our product and business teams,

- Build new interfaces for the apps, web and mobile, from the wireframe all the way to the final design,

- Prepare and perform usability tests with users to gather direct feedback, carry out A/B usability tests

- Always challenge existing interfaces to establish Adda52 as a desired destination and world class product.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a UX roadmap to guide designers, product management and tech teams in planning for and implementing the vision,

- Attract, inspire, and manage a UX team of experience designers. This requires setting clear goals, managing the project load and allocating people accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met, and setting up team members for overall success,

- Ability to analyze and co-relate data and research results into actionable recommendations that inform design solutions that meet customer expectations,

- Passionately advocate for the user to ensure that the product design strategy is aligned to user needs and expectations.

Qualifications

- 8-9+ years conducting user experience design and research in an international, high-tech, consumer oriented environment, including 3+ years managing a team of designers,

- Detail oriented, with strong organization and process skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under time constraints,

- Extremely strong communication skills and demonstrated success presenting in a clear and compelling manner to cross-functional stakeholders,

- Ability to coordinate the work of 6+ experience designers on the same product,

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build rapport and establish credibility, thrives in collaborative work,

- Passion for practical application of research findings,

- Strong visual and interaction design skills,

- Strong design portfolio (with examples of work on web and mobile apps).
