Adama - Manager/Deputy Manager - Logistics & Distribution (6-10 yrs)

- Handle logistics operations at corporate office to enable smooth functioning of warehouses and FG distribution from all warehouses.

- Monitor critical parameters pertaining to product shelf life, FIFO billing etc.

- Support implementation of new initiatives and projects in L & D function by adopting strategic approach and newer tools/techniques.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and build strong relationships with Logistics service providers and intervene whenever needed to ensure smooth dispatches from factory and tolling locations.

- Keep close watch on service providers performance on Placement delays, TAT.

- Carry out RFQ/Reverse auction for finalization of logistics contracts.

- Close monitoring of product shelf life, FIFO billing, reduce returns goods to factory.

- Implement new ideas for checks and controls at warehouses.

- Keep close watch on damages and leakages to minimize losses.

- Facilitate spot freight procurement and vehicle placements.

- Support warehouses in implementation of HSE requirements and continuous improvements.

- Loss prevention and recovery of losses from service providers/transit insurance claims.

- Facilitate Finance interface, on freight provisions, inventory provisions, statutory audits etc.

Qualification and Skills Required:

Qualification: Science Graduate, MBA-Operations/Supply Chain Management

Experience: Minimum 6 years and the recent 2 years in a responsible position/corporate office is preferred.

- Should have experience in logistics & Distribution in a reputed organization handling high volumes of product at PAN India level.

Skills:

- Good Analytical & Negotiation Skills

- Good Communication & Presentation skills

- Good hands on knowledge of ERP (SAP)/Power Bi/Analytical Tools

Key Success Factors:

- Influencing logistics service providers for consistent performance to ensure swift FG movement

- Works constructively and collaboratively with internal customers (ZWCs and Factory logistics), Finance team to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.

- Applies methodologies, processes, data analysis and tools to enhance work effectiveness and to implement process improvements.

- Leverages experiences and acquires and shares new skills and knowledge to enhance organizational capability and individual competence.

- Demonstrates a sense of urgency for customers.

- Effectively communicate and help in deployment of statutory and regulatory requirements.

- Provides consistent feedback to warehouse managers through verbal and/or written evaluations.

- Willing to Travel occasionally.

- The incumbent is required to comply with and adhere to all applicable, facility, safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations while working for this company.

Work Relations:

Reports to - GM - L & D

Interface - Factory Logistics Team, Zonal warehouse Coordinators, Finance team Internally and Externally with the different service providers / transporters.
