Acuity Knowledge Partners - Equity Strategy Analyst (1-4 yrs)

- Building and tracking databases on macro indicators, market variables and bottom-up financials

- Update/build screeners to identify companies based on specific themes/conditions

- Thematic research using top-down (analyzing trends in various macro-economic factors to arrive at recommendations) and bottom-up approaches

- Conceptualize and implement research ideas pertaining to region / sector / country / themes / macro / markets / FX / commodities/ rates

- Build and maintain quantitative models using statistical tools including regression analysis

- Actively monitor (quantitatively and qualitatively) the global reporting season

- Prepare daily market commentary and other weekly/monthly periodicals

- Helping the onshore team with ad-hoc requests and roadshows

- Constantly interact with the onshore/offshore team in planning and executing tasks

Experience /skills / Education

Fresher or candidates with experience of up to 2 years in research domain will be ideal. Strong education and analytical rigour is a must.

Experience/skills:

- Strong analytical skills and has eye for detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Independent thinking and willingness to contribute

- Strong macroeconomics, financial markets, basic accounting and statistical knowledge

- Strong Excel skill and preferably E-views and Python knowledge

- DataStream, Bloomberg and Haver experience will be a plus

Education:

- Master's degree with a major in finance

- Candidates with CFA and engineering background will be preferred
