Opportunity

Acuity Knowledge Partners is currently looking for dedicated and motivated individuals, for its Investment Banking team in Gurgaon, with 10+ years of experience in business valuation, advisory and research, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

Project Management - The candidate would be required to lead and work on engagements involving building and reviewing financial models and valuations for the purpose of fund raising, mergers & acquisitions and financial reporting:

- Work as the project lead on complex and challenging projects of strategic importance to the client

- Translate client objectives into clear deliverables with associated priorities and constraints

- Take complete ownership of all quality-related aspects

- Conduct financial analysis covering cash flow analysis, working capital analysis, capital structure analysis, ECM/DCM analysis, M&A impact analysis, Capex & Opex Analysis, ROCE/ROI analysis, etc.

- Build and review valuation models using various approaches DCF, Relative, SOTP, Purchase Price Allocation, etc. based on specific business situations

- Perform 409A valuation using option-pricing allocation for companies with complex capital structures

- Build and review models for Purchase Price Allocation (PPA), impairment testing and valuation allocation using option pricing models for valuation, business, audit, tax and regulatory purposes

- Perform and audit valuation of intangibles and financial instruments in accordance with applicable accounting standards

- Work on option pricing valuations in compliance with ASC 718

- Prepare, review and analyze business plans and conduct the financial feasibility study and due diligence

- Build and review LBO/MBO, Merger, A&D models for the purposes of fundraising, M&A, cash management and financial forecasting

- Track and analyze portfolio performance

- Prepare investment memorandums and management presentations

- Prepare comprehensive business valuation reports and presentations detailing valuation analysis, company profile and industry analysis based on independent analysis and detailed discussions

- Draft well documented reports communicating the key valuation arguments and thesis

Client Management - Support in client management and business development initiatives

- Manage and maintain client relationships - would include regular interaction with the client to strengthen the relationship and be on top of identifying opportunities to act as a solutions provider

- Work in tandem with unit heads and business development teams to identify opportunities to further expand presence with existing clients and look out for new clients by leveraging the existing knowledge of industries and projects to reach out to more clients and geographies

Education/ Experience and Skills Requirement

- MBA/ CFA/ CA with 10+ years of experience in Valuation Advisory division of a KPO, consultancy, advisory or audit firm

- Strong experience in building & reviewing models for Purchase Price Allocation (PPA), impairment testing and valuation allocation using option pricing models for valuation, business, audit, tax and regulatory purposes

- Strong experience on valuations using various approaches 409A, OPM, DCF, Relative, SOTP, Purchase Price Allocation, etc.

- Ability to understand and formalize required end deliverables within defined timelines

- UG: B.Com/B.Tech, PG: CA, MBA/PGDM Finance or CFA

- Experience in a Valuation Advisory firm will be preferred
