Actuary Role - Group Reporting - Life Insurance

Fellow Actuary / Qualified Actuary - Group Reporting - Life Insurance - 10+ Years - Mumbai

An exciting opportunity for a Fellow Actuary / Qualified actuary to manage financial reporting of a listed group. If you are the one with extensive experience & knowledge in IFRS and solvency II reporting standards, then this post is for you.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Group Reporting team in preparing the Group's annual report, consolidated financial statements, and Solvency II Pillar III reports, focusing on actuarial aspects of external reporting.

2. Manage the production of the Group's Solvency II Pillar III narrative reports, including the single group SFCR.

3. Support the preparation of other financial sections for Group reporting.

4. Foster effective relationships with other teams in organisation Finance to ensure Group reporting requirements are communicated and fulfilled.

5. Provide oversight for the outsourced IAS 19 defined benefit pension valuation.

6. Assist in preparing materials for Group Audit Committee and Board meetings.

7. Contribute to other Group reporting initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

1. Fully qualified actuary with significant post-qualification experience.

2. Proficient in IFRS and Solvency II reporting standards.

3. Expertise in actuarial aspects of insurance accounting, including both IFRS and Solvency II requirements.

4. In-depth understanding of financial reporting regulations and legislative frameworks.

5. Familiarity with insurance products, systems, and distribution methods.

6. Skilled in handling complex transactions.

7. Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and developments, with established networks within the field.

8. Experience in financial reporting within life and pensions sectors, with additional asset management experience being advantageous.

9. Proven track record in successfully delivering finance change programs.
