ActiveAlpha Group - Vice President/Senior Associate/Associate - Financial Research/Modeling

- Seeking a candidate with exceptional intellectual horsepower to help in evaluating investment opportunities for a hedge fund.

- Candidate should have deep experience in undertaking research on companies, building detailed financial models, meeting with management teams and assessing investment opportunities.

- Previous experience in the buy-side a big plus but not necessary.

- Excellent communication skills, strong initiative, curious nature, hard working and drive to succeed are critical.

- Candidates will have unlimited upside in compensation which will be determined primarily by the performance of their investment recommendations and their contribution to the team and firm.

The specific job requirements are: building detailed financial models including projections and scenario analysis; preparing investment company presentations on the investment case of possible companies for the Fund to invest in undertaking broad industry and macro-economic research on a sector and the economy to determine the drivers affecting the specific companies

- Identify issues with company financials on an historic bases with the impact it may have going forward

- Analysis of select screens to identify potential investment ideas; identify key business levers affecting a target company advising management teams of portfolio companies on creating value in the business; etc.

Candidates will be expected to contribute to overall business development of the Fund as well to attract investments from international and domestic investors.
