AFI is looking for a Program Manager (Fund Raising) to assist both AFI and our start-ups with equity raises and grant funding. Previous experience of successful raises, ideally within social impact is highly desired. In this role you will be responsible for developing, building, and supporting investor / donor relationship development. A secondary role for this position will be to help with organizing and managing the AFI Annual Forum and Silicon Valley / UK Treks for our start-ups, as well as managing/overseeing the AFI global chapters.

Qualification: Undergrad degree (Business / Engr.) + Management Graduate

Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising,entrepreneurship, organizing events / managing communities

Job Responsibilities:

A typical day on the job is likely to involve part of the following:

- Taking the lead in fundraising efforts through writing proposals for funding for AFI (grants, sponsors etc..), and helping our Social Entrepreneurs to create proposals for their funding - Investments, grants and guiding them through the funding process.

- Engaging with the social impact start-up ecosystem and relating to relevant partners / government agencies.

- Organizing and managing annual forums and treks for AFI and AFI's start-up cohort companies. Duties including: designing event panels, organize speakers, online event management, managing and running the social media/website.

- Managing the AFI chapters (currently San Francisco & London), and building new communities(Singapore/Dubai/Hong Kong) through leveraging the Indian diaspora communities for scaling the impact of our social entrepreneurs.

Key Deliverables :

- Raise over $50K USD for the Social Entrepreneurs through grants from Foundations / Corporations (including CSR Funds) / Governments by the end of 2020

- Aim to raise $25K USD through sponsorships for the Virtual AFI forum and the Virtual Silicon Valley /UK Treks by the end of 2020

- With the help of the rest of the team, organize the AFI annual virtual forum by end of November/start of December 2020

- Organize the virtual Silicon Valley & UK Treks in November 2020

- Establish AFI chapters in Singapore, Dubai, and Hong Kong in 2021 at the pace of one new chapter each quarter
