Job Description:

- Single point of contact for all accounting related matters related to Operating cost (Accounts Payable).

- Preparation of Accounting Guidelines, Manuals and processes related to Operating cost including guidelines for IFRS 16.

- Quarterly/Yearly evaluation of accounting guidelines to ensure correct accounting as per the IFRS guidelines and internal company policies.

- Preparation, implementation and testing of controls related to Accounts payable.

- Ensure control failures are mitigated by ensuring timely implementation of new processes/changes in existing processes.

- Reporting of Control testing results to management and solve control related queries for statutory/internal auditors.

- Ensure end to end accounting of IFRS 16 with the help of OPCOs(Entities in different countries/geographical locations) teams and shared services teams.

- Monthly and quarterly closing of IFRS 16 accounting.

- Management of internal as well as external auditors. Co-ordinate for timely and accurate audit inputs and managing closure of points arising out of audit reviews for Accounts payable and IFRS 16.

- Ensure smooth implementation of changes in accounting standards/policy/processes across OPCOs, work with and guide different cross functional teams to achieve changes without impact on business, with quality or on strict timelines.

- Continuous engagement with OPCOs, Accounting and business finance teams for accounting and control related matters.

Expectations from the incumbent:

- Incumbent needs to have good knowledge of Operating cost along with knowledge of closing/consolidation processes and good understanding of IFRS.

- Preferred candidates with practical knowledge of IFRS 16 implementation/accounting.

- As he/she has to make sure that financials are prepared timely and accurately, incumbent must be thorough with all the major accounting standards (IFRS), policies of the company, processes to have clarity of action.

- Dealing with people who are not directly reporting to the employee, influence and lead them to achieve major/critical goals.

- Keep pace with numerous changes which are happening in accounting methodology across industries and especially in telecom sector.

- Making a balance between business requirements and control aspects from audit point of view.
