Accounts Manager

Brief Job Description:

The Manager, Costing and Financial Control, will oversee critical financial functions within the Protective Packaging Division.

This role requires expertise in product costing, procurement knowledge, and comprehensive management of financial operations, ensuring compliance and strategic financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Costing of Product:

- Lead and supervise the costing process for products manufactured within the division.

- Ensure accurate calculation of costs, including direct and indirect expenses, overheads, and margins.

- Provide insights to optimize costs and enhance profitability.

General Accounting:

- Manage general accounting activities, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and standards.

- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Finalize books of accounts and prepare financial statements.

SAP Environment:

- Utilize SAP systems effectively for financial transactions, reporting, and analysis.

- Ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies in SAP usage.

Preparation of MIS Reports:

- Prepare and submit various management information system (MIS) reports regularly.

- Analyze financial data and present insights to senior management.

Taxation:

- Stay updated with tax regulations and ensure compliance.

- Manage tax planning and filing activities effectively.

Inventory Management:

- Oversee inventory control processes to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs.

- Implement efficient inventory management practices.

Statutory and Internal Audit:

- Coordinate statutory audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Conduct internal audits to verify internal controls and compliance.

Internal and External Coordination:

- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the division and with external stakeholders.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Proven experience in product costing and finalization of accounts.

- Preferably a background in Commerce education.

- Strong proficiency in SAP and other accounting software.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills
