Accounts & Finance Role - Financial Firm (3-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

- GL, AP, AR, BS

- Financial statement preparation, and prepare analysis with financial ratios and interpret the results for management purposes

- Review cost allocations and indirect rate calculations and revise allocation methodology, where required

- Review of schedules required for audit and/or tax return

- Assist with information for footnote disclosures required for audit

- Presentation of financial information to Finance leadership team

- Review AR terms and prepare an analysis of projected collections to forecasted expenses

- Review AP, Vendor Reconciliation, Preparation of Cash Flow, Vendor and Bank optimisation.

- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines

- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action

- Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development

- Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies

- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of private contributions, loans, and government contracts

Controllership/Transaction processing tasks:

- Review bank reconciliations

- Review payroll details before payroll is input into the payroll processing system and review after payroll reports are created, prior to processing the payments

- Review bills payable for accuracy of coding and other details

- Review customer invoices for accuracy

- Prepare an overall matching of collection terms from larger contracts to streamline the cash flow process

- Developing and ensuring policies followed, Vendor and Customer Reconciliation reports

- Maintain internal control for cost and organizational budgets and actual expenditures

- In conjunction with the Controller, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis

- Oversee and support accounting team with ownership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
