Job Title: Accounts Co-ordinator- South

Function/Dept-Accounts

Job Purpose-To be responsible for the complete accounting, MIS, reporting for the Company Accounting for the Region

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervision/ coordination of the company's accountant work to ensure the Completeness of the accounting in the relation to Income and Costs of the company under his region.

- Coordination with Regional Accountants for ensuring statutory compliance, Reporting, timely payment to the Vendor, employee Claims and collections of Accounts Receivables relating to the company.

- Supervision / coordination with the Accountants at office and the Regional office for ensuring compliance of the laid down internal controls, processes and company policies.

- Coordinate & Ensure for Monthly/Quarterly Reconciliations of the Debtors, Creditors, Physical Verification of Inventories, and ensure necessary follow-ups on the reconciliations.

- Ensure compliance to various statutory provisions and ensure timely deposit and filing of returns and completion of assessments such as Local Vat and Entertainment tax relating to their region.

- Ensure adequate provisions are made in the Monthly Financials and reviewing the General Ledger accounts for smooth and timely closure of the Monthly/Quarterly/Annual closure of the Books of Accounts relating to their region.

- Ensure the timely preparation of the Audit Schedules as per the Audit Closure Programme and work with the Corporate MIS Team. Maintain the Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for their region.

Qualification : B.Com/M.Com

Experience :6-10 years in a similar role with a reputed organisation

Competencies/Skills required : Proficiency in using MS Office and Internet.

- Good Communication and Interpersonal skills

- Exposure of handling high business volume (200-250Crs.)

- Should have worked in Corporate/Hub/Regional role(Multiple units)

Industry preference- Retail, Service Industry, F&B, FMCG & Telecom

Job factors :

KNOWLEDGE:

Functional knowledge of Accounting Standards, Procedures, ERP Systems, Preparation of the Financial Statements

COMPLEXITY:

Prioritising work

Ability to co-ordinate with different stakeholder at multiple locations.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Manage the External Statutory Authorities for the region like Sales Tax, Income Tax, Service tax etc.

Work with the External Consultants for ensuring timely closure of the statutory compliance at the Region.

Additional Comments:-

Accounting, MIS & Audit

- Review of the work of the Company Accountant to ensure accounting and financial records are maintained as per the company’s policy and guidelines.

- Ensuring payments are released to Vendors, Lenders, Developers, Contractors, Landlords, and other parties on time and against formally approved documents relating to the company norms.

- Reporting and highlighting issues that need immediate attention to the Operation Heads and Other management teams.

- Ensuring compliance to all systems and processes laid down for Accounting.

- Ensuring regular audit on the Accounting and other Processes involving Cash and Stocks.

- Ensuring the preparation and spear head reviews of the MIS relating to cinema Profitability.

- Ensuring the review of various expense Provisions.

Banking

- Ensuring compliance to Cash Handling and Cash banking systems as per processes laid down for the Company

- Ensuring the Credit Card and other third party payments to be reconciled and received regularly.

Compliance

- Ensuring compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Standards, Principles and guidelines.

- Ensuring the Deposit of State VAT and other State Taxes on time.

- Represent the company in dealings with State VAT authorities;

Decision Support

- Assist the Financial Controller in development, revision and monitoring of various processes

We are looking for the person with the person who has been in the role where he is responsible for the branch accounting and reviewing the work of the branch accounts.

The accounting and review and control of the branch /depot accounting work would be around 85% of his total profile.
