The Job
Managing the accounting and financial reporting function for international clients in the Alternative Investments sector. This will involve basic accounting including a compilation of books of account, finalization, and reporting including statutory norms and compliance with accounting standards. You will lead a team of qualified professionals and be responsible for end-to-end delivery.
Your Profile
- You must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with a good academic track record and approximately 12 years of post qualification experience with an emphasis on PE/Fund/ Financial Services accounting. Key experience areas must include :
- Experience in leading teams in accounting / financial reporting functional areas in the alternative investments sector (preferably worked in compiling books of account for private equity firms/hedge funds / financial services firms)
- Sound understanding of fund structures, partnership entities and fund accounting
- Capable of understanding a complex holding-subsidiary company / partnership structure and possess thorough accounting knowledge to treat and disclose investment accounting transactions
- Conversant with IFRS and UK GAAP. Ability to pick up specific areas in IFRS and UK GAAP, as required
- Responsibilities of the role include people management, performance measurement/appraisals, mentoring and guiding junior team members, and participation in unit pursuits and organization initiatives.
