Accountant - BFS (10-13 yrs)

Purpose General Ledger :

1. Prepare periodic financial results, meeting statutory requirements

2. Prepare Schedules for audit

3. Ensure accounting hygiene

Indirect Tax :

1. Ensure compliance under statutes relating to excise & service tax

2. Avail tax credits on time & accurately

Responsibilities : General Ledger:

1.1 Close General Ledger - Monthly / Quarterly after recording all the transactions within stipulated time.

1.2 Prepare accounts for publication (Quarterly / Annually), complying with SEBI / Companies Act requirements and get it approved by Mgt / auditors

1.3 Prepare / file RBI returns, Company returns in XBRL, Family accounts as per agreed timelines and in the required format.

2.1 Prepare schedules for various GL accounts and get audited by Statutory auditors

2.2 Respond to audit observation timely

3.1 Review / analyze all GL accounts periodically

Indirect Tax:

1.1 Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions to enable on line accounting

1.2 Ensure timely completion of all schedules and review all ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and avoid blockage of funds / avoid any abnormalities

1.3 Ensure applicable statutory compliances under excise, service tax and imports.

1.4 Ensure physical verification of finished goods and imported inventory.

2.1 Ensure availing cenvat input credits and maintenance of documents.

2.2 Ensure timely accounting and release of payments to civil, import vendors including clearing agent.

3.1 Improve hygiene in excise, civil and import accounting areas.

4.1 Ensure timely approval of letter of credits, import document acceptances, on time payment of customs duty etc., to ensure minimum warehousing charges, demurrage, detention cost.

5. People development - Training and development of finance personnel in areas relating to accounting of transactions, preparation of export documents, statutory compliances, availing of cenvat credit, etc.
