Title: Category Manager
Essential duties and responsibilities of position:
- Establish long term category and spend management strategies and lead the execution of these strategies.
- Develop and implement SRM practices specific to client need and supplier development strategy
- Establish, engage and manage relationship with clients (both functional stake holders and procurement) to drive strategic initiatives
- Measure and manage - suppliers- (aka providers, agencies, etc.) performance relative to contracted service levels
- Manage a rapidly growing team of energy analysts, engineers, and category managers to ensure continuous improvement in data collection, data verification and analysis, program management, and cost-effectiveness of service offerings and programs
- Actively monitor and communicate category insights, trends and conduct market research for designated clients throughout contract term
- Identify opportunities to produce savings through sourcing activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have :
Required
- Total experience 12 to 18 years, 5 to 7 + years of Capital Expenditure strategic sourcing and category management experience
- A bachelor's/PG degree Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement
Preferred :
- Experience working with engineering teams, aligning technical requirements with commercial terms and conditions and leading the strategic sourcing process including TCO analysis, negotiations and contract execution
- Experience working with a major, consulting firm, or EPC/EPCM firm leading strategic sourcing initiatives for Capital Equipment and/or Construction Services
- Experience leading and managing capital acquisition cycles of over at least $50 MM per year.
- Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Formal training and/or experience in strategic sourcing
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint)
