ACC Cements - Category Manager - IIM (2-4 yrs)

Job responsibilities:

- P&;L responsibility

- Driving market research, consumer insights and business analytics.

- Work with brand teams to design & implement researches.

- Lead team on enhancing consumer insights process.

- Be the internal voice of the customer - gain a deep understanding of customer experience, to enable identification of, and develop solutions to fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth

- Proven track record of success in identifying customer behaviors to deliver a commercial outcome

- Lead on improving business & brand analytics

- Categories would include mix of new brand work, new category work and existing brands new category work

- Responsibilities would include category mapping, concept work, for new product development New product work would include RTM planning, working with sales and trade marketing to develop RTM, managing overall launches in market including communication development, marketing initiatives for developing new products

- Devise long term development strategies for product categories

- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products

- Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services

Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands

Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility

- Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category

- Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory

- Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category

- Creating entry strategies and business plans after identifying new business opportunities

- Utilizing existing agencies to create advertising and promotional campaigns in a cost effective manner

- Coordinating with management teams to deploy best practices in the local market

Qualification:

MBA/PGDM - Marketing from IIM

Experience

2-5 yrs of experience in Channel sales from FMCG/Consumer durables/Building material industry
