Academic Manager

The Role :

- End-to- End ownership of Creating Grade 1-8 Math Curriculum & Managing Authoring Team

- The core goal of this role is to provide both hands-on content creation and academic direction to the project to design and conceive a blended learning after-school program for Math learning. Specifically your role involves

- Research and benchmark learning outcomes to create curriculum maps

- Author curriculum materials, video scripts and worksheets for critical concepts

- Create assessment for measuring student progress

- Work closely with product managers, software developers to design mobile and web apps

- Collaborate, train and review the work of other authors, manage project deadlines

- Teach children to pilot the curriculum in classrooms

- Develop training programs for program mentors

- Analyze actual student learning outcomes and teaching impact on the field

The Profile : Strong Mathematics Subject Knowledge, Teaching/Tutoring Experience, Ability to Manage Projects

The must-have ingredients :

- Deep understanding of Mathematical concepts and skills acquired through a strong academic background in Math, Science, Engineering from a top Indian or foreign institute

- Teaching experience with school-going children (preferably in classes 1-8) in a school, tutoring or test-preparation center, therefore practical understanding of effective pedagogy

- Corporate project experience of working within tight timelines, managing small teams

- To succeed in this role you must be curious to learn about how young children learn Math, willing to roll up your sleeves to research and write content and be able to work within tight resource constraints.
