- We are currently looking for a seasoned professional for Head - Quality in Fresh Produce/ F&V at Absolute. In this role the candidate will be responsible for: - Ensuring the effective implementation of quality inspection process followed at the fruits and vegetable vendor base as per defined guidelines and specification. - Ensuring F&V quality and safety (fruits and vegetables) reaches to PODs/ Dark store as per assigned specifications. - Reviewing the quality during the inbound of F&V at POD/DC. - Inspecting the process of fruits and vegetable sorting, cleaning and packing at vendor place or packing house. - Selecting and inspecting basis 50% or more samples of each SKU by visual observation, weighing, etc to determine grade and compliance. - Checking on GMP, safety and quality which may affect product category need be done as per schedule. - Maintaining inspection certificate showing grade and condition of the inspected commodities before dispatch to PODs/ Dark Store - Communicating acceptance or rejection of fruits and vegetables to Cluster - Operations and QHSE. - Recording of feedback regarding onboarded vendors on process correction, onboarding or deboarding vendors with necessary proofs/evidence/ support documents. - Verify the labelling and packaging compliance of each and every fruit and vegetable. - Basic checks on Legal Metrology, FSSAI norms required for this category. Minimum Requirements: - Minimum 3 years' experience quality control and assurance in fresh produce/ F&V - Minimum 12 years' experience in quality control and assurance in Foods and allied industry - Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. - Open for travel to up to 60% of the time during peak season to multiple sites
