Absolutdata - Proposals Specialist (4-6 yrs)

The role of a Proposals Specialist is a very critical component of the sales cycle. It involves high level of coordination between the Sales teams and Operations teams. The proposals specialist gets excellent exposure to all aspects of the functioning of an organization including the capabilities, and is an excellent platform for honing sales and marketing skills.

Key Accountabilities:

Proposal & Collaterals Handling:

- One of the critical functions at Absolutdata resulting in exposure and close working with the senior leadership team

- Understand Business Challenges & Customer Needs

- Assess Opportunity and Scope

- Manage each request for proposal as a project, manage timelines and expectations of all stakeholders involved

- Prepare a detailed PowerPoint/Word based proposal for each RFP through liaising with ops on scope definition, solution, effort estimation and capabilities display

- Suggest the best suitable project approach, methodology and timelines

- Coordinate seamlessly with internal stakeholders to ensure that the best proposals/collaterals are submitted to clients

- Convert the technical solutions into a language that our clients can easily understand, thereby determining the potential value of the solution

- Assess and highlight the gaps, if any in the response received from operations addressing the RFP requirements

- Work on marketing collaterals which are used by sales team for pitching Absolutdata services and products - requires research on the topic, coordination with subject matter experts and translating their vision & thoughts into tangible communication

Pricing Strategy:

- Responsible for formulating and deciding the right pricing for all the projects by gauging client appetite and operational effort involved

Competitive Intelligence:

- Continuously look out for competitive intelligence on proposals, rates, offerings, and update the team on a regular basis

Qualifications and Skills Required:

- 4-6 years of experience in pre-sales (Required)

- Ability to understand complex business problems and articulate thoughts in a proposal (Required)

- Effective project management skills (Required)

- Excellent written and oral communication skills (Required)

- Good with MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS-Excel (Required)

- Experience in an Analytics / Tech services company (Preferred)
