Job Title: Assistant Manager - Learning & Development Location: Bangalore GCC Reporting to: Senior Manager - People Business Services 1. PURPOSE OF ROLE The role will manage the following streams in the L&D function: - Delivery Scheduling: Manage annual learning plan to complete end-to-end scheduling and logistics activities including but not limited to LMS session creation, facilitator management, participant enrolment, etc. - Learning Admin: Resolution of requests received through mailbox/ticketing system; managing LMS course uploads, curriculum creation and assignment, profile activation/deactivation - Reporting: Generation and consolidation of L&D reports, data analysis, and creation of related presentations for senior stakeholders - Learning Design & Development: Design and development of e-learning assets using standard authoring tools The role will be accountable for setting strategic direction as well as managing day-to-day operations: - Defining and achieving strategic priorities for the year - Managing team performance and quality of service - SLA achievement - Stakeholder management 2. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Strategic - Establish processes and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the L&D service offering, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and parity with industrial best practices. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, establishing credibility as a partner to the business, add value and grow the service. - Utilize internal forums to share best practices, deliver efficiencies, and ensure sustainability of service through upskilling and cross-skilling of team members. - Coach and mentor team members, carry out annual performance review activities. Responsibilities - Create and execute learning strategies and programs - Evaluate individual and organizational development needs - Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training) - Design e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings (through team & available platforms) - Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities - Track budgets and negotiate contracts - Hire and oversee training and L&D Specialists Operational Responsible for overseeing Team Lead/Team Members to: - Complete scheduling/admin tasks ensuring process/schedule adherence, and provide timely and accurate updates to People Services partners and Senior Leaders: - Create sessions on LMS per annual learning plan - Reserve training venues, schedule facilitator, enroll participants - Arrange equipment, print/distribute classroom materials as required per program requirements - Arrange facilitator accommodation, food for participants during training - Complete end-to-end session closure activities on LMS - Roll out evaluations and analyze results - Complete periodic reporting activities - Create and maintain training activity records - Generate completion reports for different learning programs, consolidate by stakeholder requirements and create meaningful dashboards - Complete communication/follow-up to support achievement of KPIs related to compliance and mandatory training - Complete Learning admin tasks - Create/deactivate user profiles on LMS - Create assign curricula - Load e-learning courses or assets on LMS - Resolve requests from users, including troubleshooting technical issues - Design/Develop eLearning Courses - Understand learning requirements from the business and document need in an appropriate format - Design appropriate learning strategy - Storyboard course and develop the course in an authoring tool - Test and deploy course on LMS - Manage stakeholder reviews, implement feedback and obtain signoffs throughout development cycle
