FIXED INCOME TRADER

Key Performance Indicators:

- Execution and management of trades for developed and emerging market interest rate strategies

- Provision of market colour and dynamics to the global team

- Executes the purchases and sales of fixed income securities within the parameters set by Portfolio Managers, Director of Leveraged Finance trading or the Head of Trading

- Understand how flows in one asset class may impact prices and yields in related asset classes

- Contributes market color and spread data to investment discussions

- Construction and ongoing management of Fixed Income portfolios, across multiple sectors and currencies

- Trading / execution of Fixed Income securities across multiple sectors and currencies in the Fixed Income market

- Working with other portfolio managers, analysts and traders to develop model portfolios that meet client needs

Skillsets/Competencies:

- Must demonstrate a methodical, disciplined approach to their work self-motivation to develop product knowledge

- Rigorous attention to details and great time-management skill required

- Comfortable interacting with senior investment professionals

- Enthusiasm, drive and demonstrated progression of responsibilities in current position

- Ability to work within and across teams and a desire to collaborate

- Ability to manage relationships both externally with the market internally with members of the global Portfolio Management team

Qualification: MBA (Finance), CA - Desirable
