Senior Manager Logistics Procurement

AB InBev India is looking to hire Senior Manager - Logistics Procurement for its Procurement team based out of Bangalore.

Primary Purpose of the role :

- The role will lead and be the pillar of the Logistics Procurement. Lead the development and implementation of category strategies and sourcing plans for Logistics across all breweries in India. Also the responsibility for driving adherence to global VLC policies and cost management for India BU. The colleague in the role will lead the sourcing of all logistics and warehousing requirements, both inbound and outbound. The role will also lead the import and export logistics for India BU.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities :

A. Logistics - Category Sourcing :

1. Lead and look after the overall spend across Logistics within the allocated budget

2. Continuously monitor and track the forecast vs actual saving and take corrective actions

3. Actively involve and engage with stakeholders for the execution of sourcing projects across applicable categories

4. Have an insight into innovation and new supplier development to deliver expected saving on the basis of total supply chain cost

5. Work closely with Internal teams - New Business Development - to deliver new projects and innovation pipeline

6. Set up and renew cost model for cost analysis (understand supply and demand market, industry benchmark, cost analysis etc.)

7. Drive Category Strategy, Sourcing, Tactics and Contracts - driving the optimal delivery of business requirements at optimal TCO

8. Apply business policies, standards and platforms including the agreed Category and Sourcing Management methodology

9. Defining and driving all committed champions initiatives

B. Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment - Internal & External :

1. Lead the collaboration with functional budget owners and work closely with the APAC Category Manager and Procurement Centre

2. Identify, initiate and co-manage value engineering efforts with external stakeholders

3. Actively engage stakeholders as defined in alignment throughout the strategy development and sourcing activities

4. Communicate effectively to establish most productive and satisfactory relationships between the breweries, supplier, Global Procurement Office.

5. Also work with external partners specific to the category requirements - both current as well as towards creating a base of potential suppliers

C. Support Strategic Planning, Implementation & Tracking :

1. Challenge existing ways of working in order to improve procurement results and efficiency, delivering procurement targets

2. Understand and follow global and zone governance - policies and procedures

3. Provide information for global/cross-zone sourcing and implement global and zone contracts

4. Lead and monitor contract performance and take appropriate corrective actions when needed

5. Continuously track the forecast vs actual saving across categories and take corrective actions

6. Ensure spend map analysis is done to monitor spend and ensure that all purchases follow the purchasing process

D. Leadership :

1. Engaging across the function to drive integrated processes and ways of working

2. Set and manage objectives, priorities and targets for the team, ensuring they are constructive, accountable and lead to achieve specific objectives.

3. People development & engagement

4. Engaging with the BU and APAC Senior Leadership and zone procurement leadership to explain financial results

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes :

Education & Experience :

1. Academic background : appropriate University/bachelor degree qualification is essential. An MBA would be considered an asset.

2. Professional experience (around 6-8 years) in the same functional domain or other related positions.

3. Logistics and Supply Chain procurement experience in FMCG is a plus.

Skills and/or knowledge :

1. Knowledge and experience in Logistic/Supply Chain

2. Strong analytical skills enabling to understand cost models, sourcing results and financial and operational impact for the Company

3. Project management skills and ability to manage complex cross-country, cross-functional scope;

4. Knowledge of Procurement processes, methods and techniques, including negotiation skills, e- sourcing tools, e-auctions is beneficial;

5. Category management experience is a strong asset

6. High level of commercial awareness

7. Proven negotiation and influencing skills: able to influence business partners and suppliers as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to contracts

8. Strong numerical ability, high analytical and organizational skills

9. Strategic and conceptual thinking, cross functional thinking

10. Ability to develop and maintain effective partnership working across geographic boundaries. Focus on service delivery and results oriented

11. Strong financial acumen - Budgeting and monthly tracking & monitoring for budget adherence
