Quench your thirst for success. Come, sit at the table! Primary Purpose of Role Ownership for the crop health of our agriculture program. The person will work towards effectively improving the quality of AB InBev's supply chain in India through application of agronomic knowledge at the farm and agronomist level. This person will engage directly with farmers and other stakeholders in the supply chain to understand the greatest challenges to the supply chain, and develop agronomic-based solutions in partnership with our local and international agro and research teams. Key Tasks &amp; Accountabilities 1. Agronomic Ownership : - Be the principle driver for the creation of a healthy crop management practice with our agronomists, field officers and farmers. - Drive the crop protocol creation with research and agro &amp; implementation with the field agriculture officers - Manage and support team in farmer concerns regarding crop stress, drought pressure, fertilizer and seed application, irrigation management, etc. - Work towards regular monitoring &amp; review of the overall KPI's of our crop management process/practices - Taking ownership for the soil testing process, and its implementation with our set of farmers - Making critical reports and presentations to the organization internally, for reviews and approvals - Generate necessary external partnerships from an agronomic perspective, that will help next-mark our agriculture program - Be involved in plot designs and experimental procedures, and hence support in driving the crop management trial process 2. Collaborative working &amp; Reporting : - Making critical reports and presentations to the organization internally, for reviews and approvals - Necessary cross-functional working and communication with the global research and India quality colleagues - Generate necessary external partnerships from an agronomic perspective, that will help next-mark our agriculture program - Required to travel across Rajasthan, Haryana, MP, UP and other states for training team and farmer-groups on best agriculture practices for barley - Work in tandem with the agro &amp; research, and to act as a bridge between the teams - Constantly communicate findings with colleagues, team-mates, and farmers and create a defined system for doing the same Required Knowledge, Skills &amp; Attributes : Education &amp; Experience : - Minimum MSc in Agriculture - 5+ year work experience will be preferred Skills &amp; Knowledge : - Experience working with farmers to understand major challenges in a production environment, and having provided agronomic solutions to farmers that mitigated these production problems - Familiarity with small grains production practices, with a cropping systems perspective on how to improve crop productivity - Must have experience in developing, implementing, and running crop management experiments in a controlled agricultural context - Ability to work in a team by taking everyone along and effectively managing multiple projects &amp; initiatives - Previously worked with research technicians and agronomists in agricultural research and/or development. - Candidates with experience in training agronomists will be preferred - Prolonged standing, kneeling and walking in a field setting - Proficiency with computers, MS office &amp; diagnostic computer/agro software - A candidate with experience in analyzing research trials using statistical software will be prioritized Personal Attributes 1.
