Primary Purpose of Role : The Zone PSS Category Buyer is responsible to support the category manager for implementing strategies for PSS approved categories via strategic sourcing initiatives and optimization projects, as well as tracking and giving guidelines to the purchases performed by the Spot Buy team for his related category. The role negotiates PO's and implements contracts for specific categories ensuring benefits in service levels, quality, price, etc. Role Responsibilities : - Manage supplier relationship and develop collaborative initiatives - Validate and approve analysis of categories and market analysis - Develop and Maintain its related Category Card - Identify suppliers meeting business requirements - Negotiate with suppliers and select the best option - Review, sign and ensure implementation of negotiated contracts/PO's - Resolve outstanding contract/PO issues and claims - Complete contract termination requests &amp; submit for approval - Identify risks and develop category mitigation plans, select vendors and manage contract creation - Request vendor or material data cleansing - Propose a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) - Escalate issues to Zone Sourcing Lead Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities : Education level and/ or experience : University Degree or equivalent Skills and/or knowledge : A. Strong analytical skills B. Hands-on procurement C. Project-management skills D. Communicating effectively by conveying information and ideas in English, in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding; solicit inputs and provide open candid conversations. E. Developing collaborative relationships for the purpose of accomplishing work objectives; developing relationships with other individuals by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others- efforts. F. Languages: English (and Local when applied) as the working language, other languages are an advantage. G. Ability to conceptualize business impact focused analytics.
