ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

It is an opportunity for young, talented candidates to work with and learn from India's premier impact-focused venture capital fund. An Analyst would work closely with the investment team at Aavishkaar capital and get high-quality exposure to the inside workings of a VC fund focused on delivering high impact along with returns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Research: Identifying and analyzing emerging technologies, sectors, and themes

- Investment and Portfolio Management: Working with the investment team in the entire investment life cycle of sourcing, deal execution, portfolio management, and exits

- Corporate Development: Fellows will also be responsible for internal initiatives such as maintaining sector and deal flow databases, fund presentations, reporting, and strengthening funds social media presence

- Other: Support senior team members in any other ancillary tasks from time to time, as required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- 1-3 years of experience in the financial services domain (Investment Banking, Consulting, Research, Investing, banking) and with a degree in business, economics, commerce, finance, or any other related discipline from a premier institution

- Excellent business writing and analytical skills. Proficiency in modeling Company financials and performing valuation analysis

- Arriving at comparable transaction multiples - Precedent Transaction Multiples, Public Market Multiples; (Please add knowledge of valuation techniques - DCF to this)

- Knowledge of relevant regulations (FDI, SEBI, RBI, etc), term sheets, and shareholder agreements is a plus

- Proficient with MS word, excel, and PowerPoint

- Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to multi-task and work with multiple team members

- Willingness to travel once Covid situation eases
