About the Organization:

Aangan works to build and strengthen child protection systems to ensure that the most vulnerable children are safe, supported, in school, and assured of childhoods free from trafficking, child marriage, hazardous work, violence, and exploitation. Our goal is to reach 'invisible' vulnerable children and strengthen state or community protection systems around them as well as build the child's own resilience and coping strategies.

Overview:

At Aangan, we are all about making our work matter. We are looking for knowledgeable, sharp, driven and most of all, passionate individuals to join us in our quest to strengthen learning and help our trainers unleash their edge. The associate will assist with producing quality written educational materials for various training modules and to keep abreast of key developments in child protection and child right developments across the country.

Reporting to the Head of Curriculum, the incumbent will work closely with the Head, Curriculum to create well researched content in subjects of Aangan's programme areas. The curriculum will feature responsive, interactive participatory training modules.

The job requires a creative individual who can work with minimal supervision.

As an Associate, Curricula, you can expect to be doing the following:

- Contribute to the ongoing development of the curricula for programmes across different geographies and demographics.

- Conducting, compiling and interpreting relevant research to inform the process of curricula development

- Develop curricula documents, trainer manuals and ensure that content meets pedagogical objectives

- Identify needs, collect feedback through field visits and improve existing content/create new content on an ongoing basis

- Collaborate with the internal team to come up with fresh and creative ways of developing material

- Assist the team lead with demonstrating delivery of the devised training module in TOTs

Stay abreast of trends and best practices in the sector especially child protection and child rights;

What do you bring:

- 2-3 years' experience in designing trainings and curriculums

- Knowledge about instructional design and strong facilitation skills

- Ability to write modules that are clear, concise, direct and appropriate in tone and message for different audiences

- Excellent research, reporting and organizing skills

- Medium to Advanced proficiency in written and verbal communication skills level in both English and Hindi;

- Ability to participate in multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines;

- Some prior experience/engagement with Child Protection, Adolescent Safety, Women - Capacity Building and Gender would be an added advantage

- Ability to collaborate and open mindedness to differing points of view

- Working knowledge of MS Office
