Aakash Educational Services - Assistant General Manager - Commercial (8-10 yrs)
Procurement operations ownership
1. Ensure team delivers on work throughput and quality on below work products
- Issuing Purchase orders as per agreed SLA
- Compliance documentation
- Supplier quotations and price analyses
- Closure of negotiated price agreements on time
2. Serve as go-to person (escalation path) for purchasing process issues
3. Identify and resolve process constraints and gaps
Team Management
1. Team leadership for approximately 10-15 people
2. Coach team to continuously improve processes
3. Provide appropriate training and tools for the team to succeed
4. Encourage culture of responsibility and bias for the action
Analytics/Dashboards
1. Develop KPIs/Dashboard to measure team's performance in terms of turnaround times, quality and compliance
2. Own contracts database to renew agreements on time
3. Setup system to measure supplier quality and supplier performance
Process Improvements
1. Identify and resolve purchase process abnormalities with disciplined methods like Gemba walks etc
2. Understanding voice of customer (VOC) and voice of supplier (VOS) and adjust processes accordingly to resolve the pain points of the customers and suppliers
Skills and Experience
1. 8-10 years of experience in purchase processes and team management, preferably from organization of repute and established purchase processes
2. Ability to manage multiple business stakeholders and multiple categories with varied complexities
3. Ability to understand supplier ledgers and work with finance team/GRN team to resolve payment issues of the vendors
4. Ability to work in chaos and ambiguity
5. Must have procurement/supply chain related qualification/professional certifications from reputed educational institutions
