Job Description - The Manager position is the precursor to the Associate Principal and Principal positions, and therefore part of the ZS leadership ladder. - Every Manager leads one or more Spaces, i.e. business units focused either on a specific client, or a specific expertise area. Therefore, ZS Managers are responsible for innovation, thought leadership, relationship management, people growth and defining-running-refining their space operating model, guided closely by Principals. - Managers leverage their experience to take responsibility for projects and lead client and ZS-leader relationships immediately. Managers enter ZS either as generalists across practice areas or industries, or as specialists within one area. Responsibilities : - As part of the Health Plan and Provider (HPP) leadership team contribute to the Health Plan growth strategy - Manage multiple projects simultaneously and client relationships, within the Health Plan space - Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high quality engagements within timeline and budget - Provide business development support to the US team - Collaborate closely with other ZS team members to drive overall client and practice growth - Play an active role in building the practice, its talent pool, growing and mentoring team members - Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects - Contribute to the development of intellectual capital, consulting capabilities, and offerings within the practice and different ZS communities Qualifications - 7+ years of management consulting experience in the Health Plan space. - Top tier MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable - Experience with solutions targeted for health plans as well as an understanding of healthcare business processes and analytics - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with creative intuition enabling data and insight-driven recommendations - Demonstrated experience delivering high quality projects and services within timeline and budget through excellent organization & planning skills - Forward thinker and self-starter who thrives on new challenges, imagines solutions, and adapts quickly - Ability to collaborate with virtual teams across multiple projects - Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) including experience and comfort presenting concepts to executives What opportunities exist at ZS? Working with small teams on major consulting assignments encourages a close working relationship with ZS Consultants, Managers, Principals and clients. At the same time, Managers act as CEOs of their spaces, which can have anywhere from 10 to 100+ members. ZS provides organized training, which continues as on-the-job learning. Upon joining, a New Employee Orientation provides information on basic tools, resources and key ZS practice areas. In addition, several training sessions are offered each month, ranging from broad business topics to specific technical instruction. A Professional Development Manager will provide career guidance, and project performance evaluation will help identify areas for innovation and growth.
