Job Description

Responsibilities - 

- Work with epidemiological datasets; analyze observational data and registry datasets

- Design and conduct statistical analysis plans to analyze pre-existing datasets as well as prospective cohort studies

- Responsible for executing statistical analysis plans and conducting programming and data quality checks to generate and report real-world evidence about disease, health service utilization and the effects of medical products through the analysis of healthcare data

- Design custom analyses using tools like SQL, R, Excel, Tableau, SAS, R

- Work independently to lead statistical aspects of projects with quality reviews by RWE analytics lead

- Synthesize and communicate results to clients and ZS teams

- Collaborate with client and ZS teams to implement solutions

- Gain immediate responsibility for project deliverables

- Take initiative to advance problem-solving skills and ZS- capabilities

- Teach, mentor and coach junior team members

Qualifications

- MSc/ PhD in a medical data analytical field Biostats or (epidemiology, medical statistics, bioinformatics, health services research, health economics, and/or public health)

- Strong record of academic achievement

Work Experience

- 3-5 years- experience as a statistician in life sciences, specifically in analyzing real world/observational data and patient registries

- Proven professional experience within an epidemiological research environment (academia, regulatory, pharmaceutical or CRO)

- Professional services/ CRO/ multi-national experience/exposure to pharmaceutical sector a plus

- Experience in the statistical design and analysis of prospective or retrospective observational studies and familiar with working with large epidemiologi- cal datasets focusing on anonymized data (e. g. Disease Analyzer, CPRD, THIN, etc.)

- Statistical programming experience in SAS (including macros); expertise in documenting programs; SQL-R, programming skills

- Knowledge of Bayesian statistics, machine learning, predictive modeling and clinical trial data design/analysis would be a plus

- Experience of observational data and/or registries is essential

- Experience in Project managing and client facing interactions is a plus

- In-depth knowledge of multivariable models and survival analyses; longitudinal analyses methods, a plus

- Good understanding of the clinical trial process and late phase/observational studies (e.g., Phase IV, registries, retrospective chart review, time and motion studies), Experience with Time and Motion studies a plus

- Good understanding of basic study designs (e.g., cross sectional, parallel group)

- Good understanding of CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM) is a plus

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

- Demonstrated people and organizational leadership skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and often unstructured environment

- Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/ technical writing skills

- Excellent attention and accuracy with details, and strong commitment to quality

- Strong project and budget management Experience

- Excellent project management skills: can prioritize multiple tasks and goals to ensure timely completion

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
