Zonal Sales Head - FMCG (8-15 yrs)

If sales has been your forte and you have been a proven contributor in the Sales and distribution of FMCG products, we are looking for you to head sales for the North Zone of a fast growing and respected Indian group. The role draws on your business / sales acumen and you would need to manage the revenues and the sales teams for the company to ensure profitability and substantial and aggressive growth.

The Opportunity:

- This is a Zonal Head opportunity with a leading Indian group.

- A listed company with a very wide distribution network and has more than 1000 employees present across the country. Well respected Indian group and is aggressively growing and investing to broaden its market base.

As part of its growth strategy and increasing footprint in the Indian market, our client is looking to hire a Zonal Manager-North who would be primarily responsible for sales and customer handling activities in India including strategizing and management of the distribution channels. The core objective of this position is to achieve the sales objectives set for this area through distribution channels, promotional activities and most importantly by developing and inspiring the teams below him to achieve volumes, creating sustainable growth and profit

Responsibilities of the Position:

- The Zonal Manager will be responsible for meeting the Sales Targets assigned for North: Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, HP and J&K. He will be responsible to breakdown his regional objectives into area objectives and drive it through the area sales team

- Implement agreed strategies and sales tactics through the business sales team by drawing up plans, budgets and monitoring systems. Also provide accurate short, medium and long term forecasts as necessary to support business plans and decisions.

- Managing the potential distributor's activities, strategizing and implementing routes of expanding the distribution network

- Business development through relationship building with regional teams of retail clients, marketing, coordinating with marketing department to formulate various local activities in his region, participating in the market generation and penetration efforts of the company

- Providing guidance and direction to the sales team and managing employee performance and development. Also Responsible for recruitment and retention of the sales team.

Qualities in the Country Manager:

- Leadership experience in India sales operations from FMCG products (personal care/hair care/skin care):

- Seasoned sales professional who has a good working knowledge of the North Market

- Well versed in operational and commercial nuances and should be able to multi-task

- Led large teams comprising of young to mature sales professionals with an ability to inculcate aggression in the team

- Excellent analytical, oral and interpersonal skills with a strategic bent of mind

- The ability to thrive in a team atmosphere and work effectively with all levels of management

- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined, will be well structured and organized, have a flexible and - hands on- approach to work and be able to communicate and represent the company at all levels in a structured, dynamic and professional fashion.

- Change Manager: Ability to envisage, lead and execute changes in the system, people and environment from time to time

Reporting:

- The reporting will be to the Sales Head-India

Education and Experience:

- The candidate should be an MBA from a premium college (Tier-I&II). This is a mandatory requirement

- At least 8-15 years of experience in hard core sales in FMCG industry

Location: Noida

- Must be Flexible for travelling

Salary Budget: 35 LPA-45 LPA
