Zonal Sales Head - East - Mobile Handset (9-15 yrs)

Profile :

Business Strategy and Goals:

- Responsible to devise and implement strategies to ensure smooth business operations. In alignment with Management define the targets and devise the strategy for promotion of products & services to achieve the business goals.

- Responsible to develop the budgets by evaluating the business costs and carrying out cost benefit analysis. Regularly tracks the zonal budget to ensure cost is within defined norms.

- Ensure no gap in cascading the targets to the team and ensure same is in alignment with the business plan and goals.

Business Plan Achievement :

- Responsible to achieve zonal Sales & Marketing and EBIDTA targets in line with Mobile division Business Plan. Responsible to manage key distributors on his own.

- Channel Productivity: Monitor overall zone performance and ensure product wise business targets are achieved. Evaluate channel partner contribution & productivity to devise strategy and measure to enhance their performance.

- Creates team performance review platforms and regularly track team member performance and give performance improvement plan for each consistent non-performer team member and help for basic hygiene point of view on time to time basis.

Business Operation Management & Expansion :

- Develop channel management strategies for expansion and retention of distributor base to achieve the targeted network expansion norms and targeted market share. To guide and monitor the team on retention, channel management strategies.

- Manage the business operations encompassing distributors and customer relationship management, administration, market analysis and development in respective markets.

- Monitor key markets which are under development and ensure operational efficiencies are achieved as per network expansion norms.

- Model Mix Availability: Reviews the Product Planning activity as per the sales plan and coordinates with factories, logistics and SCM team to ensure product availability at all locations as per allocated budget.

Marketing and Product Positioning :

In collaboration with the marketing team develops the :

- New product introduction & Launch: Define strategy for new product introduction strategy and conduct product performance review & failure study.

- Tracking & facilitating in New Product Launch process in coordination with Marketing, Factory and R&D teams for new product development in comparison to competition for competitive advantage.

- Pricing & Schemes: Devising pricing strategy through ASP forecasting & control across regions & propose Scheme budgets for all products/models through brand wise price positioning strategy. Product profitability tracking through ASP, MOP & schemes & provide strategic inputs to Sales Admin.

- Sales enhancement and visual merchandising: To ensure desired product display, BTL activities, POP distribution as per defined guidelines.

Inventory Management :

- To ensure accurate stock forecasting at zone level, availability of stock as per norms and control stock ageing in coordination with Sales Admin.

- Monitor inventory levels and set up control processes and mechanism to avoid situations of stock excess and stock-outs. Ensure accounting principles of FIFO and stock ageing are strongly practiced.

Market Intelligence:

- Competition Tracking & Sales Promotion Strategy: Propose Media Plans and Market Research through competition tracking, secondary sales promotion strategy.

- Study global trends, call market intelligence reports, study product innovations, competition tracking, market share analysis, loss of opportunity review.

Sales & Service Coordination:

- Ensure regular interaction & continuity of dialogue at all levels between Sales & service personnel across locations for better customer satisfaction & increased service TAT.

Internal review meeting with support departments:

- Conduct regular meetings and cordial relations with Support departments (service, logistics, accounts, marketing and others concerned) on pending issues and ensure time-bound closure for smooth functioning.

Team Performance Review & Training :

- Regular tracking and analysis of team's performance. Counsel, Develop team & groom potentially high performers.
