Zonal Legal Manager - BFSI

Opening with a India's leading General Insurance company for the position of Zonal Legal Manager.

Purpose:

To lead the team and deal with the legal claims arising out of Motor accident claims, consumer complaints and managing other legal/related affairs.

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Chief Manager/Segment Head - Legal Claims

Span of Control (Nos of Reportees ): West Zone

West Zone – 11 reportees

Responsibilities:

- Leading the team in effective handling of the legal claims

- Strategize for effective handling/management of legal claims

- To deal with regulatory authorities, advocates, investigators and other administrative and judicial officials in effective handling of claims.

- Adherence to internal processes and external regulations.

- Ensure effective implementation of processes set by corporate office.

- Co-ordinate with internal customers in order to facilitate effective handling of claims and share the court precedents for them to deal with the claims.

- Training to the team and internal customers on legal developments and enactments.

- Ensure compliance of the orders passed by courts and other regulatory and administrative bodies.

- Insurance Industry preferably General Insurance. Sectors with consumer and other litigation.

Qualification and Experience :

- LLB + 10 years experience with 5 years of corporate experience in litigation. Experience in General Insurance Industry would be an added advantage
