Main Purpose (Captures Essence Of The Job In Brief) :
- To plan and achieve the sales targets of Bulk Vended Milk and Poly Pack Milk through the retail channel in the Zone and the optimum utilisation of assets.
Main Responsibilities: (Listed In Order Of Priority) :
- To prepare annual sales targets for the Zone taking into consideration the business plans and past trends.
- To ensure that the targets are achieved through planning, implementing and reviewing month and area wise
- To facilitate the Area In charges in preparing and achieving targets, managing the supplies, estimating demand, managing retailers/ distributors.
- To plan the deployment of assets (visi-coolers, insulated containers, COWs) in the Zone for their optimum utilisation.
- To monitor and review the sales targets, potential for expansion, evaluate promotion schemes in coordination with the field sales team
- To ensure implementation of promotional activities/ schemes in the Zone as specified by the Marketing department at MDDL.
- To plan and organize Consumer Information Camps in co-ordination with the Consumer Information Service Department.
- To develop distributors/ retailers by identifying training needs and coordinating with the Training and Development team for carrying out the training programs.
- To ensure individual counselling/ training is given to retailers/ distributors by the Area in charge, for effective management of the Milk Shops and Customers.
- To ensure sales realization from the retailers/ distributors and follow up on issues related to dishonoured cheques and other discrepancies.
- To ensure that customer complaints are attended to and effectively resolved within the shortest timeframe possible, including approving replacement of product if necessary
- To follow up to ensure problems/ disputes between the transporters, distributors, retailers are resolved.
Additional/ Occasional Responsibilities (Listed In Order Of Priority) :
- To assist the logistics team in route rationalisation (planning additional routes) when there is an increased demand.
- To gather information about the market scenario regarding competitor's product line, pricing, schemes, profitability for making counter plans.
