Role : Vice President - Category

Senior most role in Category Management. Will manage P&L /Revenue for all our brands across our Online and offline channels

Job Description :

As the Category Head (all brands) you believe in - bigger and better- topline and bottom-line. If you believe that every woman is a potential customer and are ready to lead a transformative category, then we should talk.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the business P&L for all brands and categories, Co-own the P&L of all categories across all the sales channels including Online, retail stores, distribution and marketplace

- Accountable for merchandising and sales strategy and new product introduction and expansion of product portfolio.

- Work closely with the Design team in coming out with new product introduction, category strategy as well incorporating latest fashion trends in company portfolio

- Own pricing strategy based on market potential, consumer insights, margins, competitive signals, etc. Drive necessary promotions

- Build and fortify the business model: Go deep, understand where new category opportunities are and chase them.

- Know the customer: Research customer behavior, develop customer insights, know more about the customer than the customer

- Sense the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.

- Brands and Vendor network management & operations

- Ownership of all category specific marketing activities

- Deliverable include sub category-wise traffic, conversions, customer base & revenues

- Work with online & offline marketing, category & website teams to conceptualize and implement initiatives for category freshness

- Building category level shopper understanding and gaining deeper insights

- Identify the growth areas and new business scope within the existing category

People leadership :

- Lead team of 3 category managers and 5 member Planning team

- Build, retain and groom a strong team to deliver across functions

Desired background

- Masters degree in Business Administration or related degree in Fashion Management. Preferably from Premier business school or Fashion institutes

- P&L Management experience

- Experience of working in Retail/Apparel industry, preferably of online industry also

- Has Managed Category or Product or Merchandising roles in previous roles

Desired Competencies

- P&L Management, Growth Mindset

- Desire and ability to think like the customer

- Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion

- Willing to take risks to grow the category in a rapid pace

- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills

- Strong understanding of technology and business

- Ability to connect with people across teams & levels
