Job Title : Chief Human Resources Officer   Reports to : E.D. & CEO   Position Summary : Along with defining, creating and driving organizational culture, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) promotes and implements human resource values by planning and managing various human resources programmes and initiatives and by giving direction to all staff.   - She/ he has the ultimate responsibility for all people based activity within an organisation from both an operational and strategic perspective. The CHRO is involved in many areas, such as resource planning and recruitment; training; managing a variety of employee relations issues at any one time and being the first point of contact for all employee related issues.  Duties and Responsibilities :  - Develop organizational and people strategies by researching and identifying on people issues  - Provide the management with people related information, analysis and recommendations to the organization  - Establish human resource objectives in line with the organizational objectives and goals  - Implement people strategies by establishing functional accountabilities along with driving talent acquisition, compensation benchmarking, performance appraisal, health and welfare benefits, employee life cycle management, training and development, statutory compliances, safety & health, succession planning, employee relations, talent retention and overall administration.  - Manage human resource operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counselling, planning, monitoring, appraising, reviewing staff job contributions, maintaining compensation, managing and monitoring productivity, quality and people strategies; designing systems, accumulating and aligning resources, resolving problems and implementing change  - Draw financial strategies with a view to develop human resource operations through estimating and forecasting requirements, trends and variances  - Align monetary resources, develop action plans, measure and analyse results, initiate corrective actions and minimize the action of variances  - Support the Management by providing advice on human capital, analyse information and various applications  - Achieve special projects results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities  - Guide the Management and employee actions by researching, writing, developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines  - Communicate and enforce organization values  - Comply with state, and local legal & statutory requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions  - Share and impart job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintain personal networks; participating in professional organizations  Desired skills and experience :  - Prior experience of handling a team  - Previously influenced senior managers, built strong commercial relationships and driven HR strategy for companies  - Can quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships with department managers  - Ability to recognise the value and responsibility of working in a team, actively support and develop team members, quick to identify and problem solve any issues  - Act as a role model for the organization, looks beyond own team as a role model and source of knowledge. Works with others in a collaborative and solutions-focused manner to achieve win-win outcomes  - Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions with the ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented. Demonstrate an understanding of personalities and behavioural styles in order to work collaboratively with a variety of people and to make informed decision around resourcing, reporting structures and relationships  - The ability to inspire confidence of the CEO and other senior managers through timely delivery of information and plans. Can work independently of CEO, but consults where appropriate  - Strong working knowledge of employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common sense approach  - Familiar with best practice redundancy processes and experienced in coaching managers through this and leading where necessary  - Good overall understanding of company finances and ability to use this information to push back and support managers in resource and succession planning. Should be able to solve problems- both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach  - Effectively plans ahead to anticipate problems, plans for worst-case and best-case scenarios; Makes sensible, intelligent decisions in difficult and deadline driven situations  - Demonstrates passion - approaches all tasks in an enthusiastic way. Takes responsibility for own actions and supports the senior leadership team and their agenda  - Capable communication skills - handles complex and difficult situations with thought and confidence. Ability to deliver appropriate information to the right people. Self-motivated and self-aware - recognizes own strengths and weaknesses and is committed to personal development  Educational qualification :  - A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university  - Full- time MBA from a premier business school with specialization in Human Resource Management
