XL Group - Senior Manager - Actuarial (5-15 yrs)

Responsibilities

- As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible to conduct analysis, and communicate conclusion of analysis to drive desired business performance.

- The position requires the ability to communicate complex analysis and conclusions to business leaders, assisting those leaders in taking appropriate actions to meet company objectives.

- A Senior Manager has the opportunity to develop cutting-edge analyses, strategies and solutions addressing the wide range of actuarial risks and/or issues facing XL.

- Should possess a wide array of soft skills like effective communication, interpersonal skills and an ability to manage teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Risk Analytics including development of analytical tools, analysis of insurance risk, regulatory capital modeling activities and general support for any risk analytics in the company.

- Pricing including development of pricing tools, price monitoring.

- Reserving for complex general insurance lines of business.

- Understanding of Solvency II directives and implications of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) from an Actuarial standpoint would be desirable.

- Assisting in responding to management queries and concerns; resolving issues promptly.

- Managing teams, ensuring feedback of team members.

Qualifications:

- We are looking for someone who has these values, abilities and skills:

- Associate Actuary/ Qualified from Institute of Actuaries of India/ Institute of Actuaries, UK or casualty Actuarial Society.

- 5+ years of experience in General Insurance pricing/reserving.

- Superior analytical, research and problem-solving skills.

- Good working knowledge of actuarial reserving/pricing software.

- Advanced mathematical / financial / statistical aptitude.

- Strong computer application skills, specifically Excel, Access and Visual Basic Application.

- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

- Keen attention to detail.

- Strong oral and written communications skills.
