Maximize Your opportunity :

Finance Close team provides accounting support to various XL Catlin legal entities based out of Bermuda, UK and US. The key activities of the team involvesP&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of 10K/10Q notes recording of operating expense accruals including global compensation, investment accounting, equity share/debt recording, involvement in quarterly close activities such as assisting in finalizing figures for Press Release, resolving intercompany differences, topside adjustments in HFM, preparation of corporate close calendar,etc.

What will your essential responsibilities include :

- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations such as Receivable/Payable, Claims, Unearned premium and Deferred acquisition cost for UK, and US Legal entities on a monthly/quarterly.

- Balance sheet & Profit and Loss analysis including Ratio analysis, Policy level analysis, Management data & analysis, commentaries etc.

- Booking of manual adjustment to incorporate new internal and external treaties like Portfolio Participation Vehicles (PPV), Alloy RE, SPS and other at group level.

- Preparation & review of external ceding treaties PPV, Alloy Re and SPS Reconciliations on monthly and Quarterly basis.

- Booking of manual adjustment to incorporate legal entity, operating units and other chartfields level restructuring / changes in General Ledger.

- Preparation & review of internal ceding treaties reconciliations on monthly & Quarterly basis for UK and US Legal entities on a monthly/quarterly basis.

- Booking of manual adjustment to correct ceding percentage changes, Stat to Core ledger reclasses on quarterly basis in Oracle General Ledger.

- Booking & review of Post Close Cash Adjustments journals (Including Loss reserving flip and internal / external ceding treaties adjustments) to account for cash transactions that take place after underwriting source systems close to reconcile the bank accounts on quarterly basis in Oracle General Ledger.

- Liaise with onshore stakeholder in the Identification & investigation of any exceptions in reconciliations.

- Identify process improvements and make recommendations to streamline the process.

- Participate in projects as & when required to ensure true & fair presentation of financials as a result of changes in internal treaties, Ledger Clean-up activities etc.

- Assist in quarterly close & reporting process and ensure FIC compliances

- CA with 3-5 years of post - qualification in accounting and financial reporting.

- Strong communication & interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal/external teams across the globe.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- Organized, methodical, able to deal effectively with multiple priorities and do multitasking.

- Candidates with insurance Industry would be preferred.
