The primary function of this position is to monitor the overall logistics cost function and support services of the Logistics. Provide leadership, direction and manage logistics commercial operations Strategically plan and manage logistics commercial for warehouse, transportation. Develop, implement and review suitable short and long terms plans to achieve assigned KPI and group objectives such as vendor management, cost reduction, operations capacity planning and forecasts based on Operation requirement. Review, maintain, control, implement corrective action and regularly report on the financial hygiene of the logistics. Skill sets required: - Understanding of Vendor management and processes - Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to manage Logistics commercial operations - Ability to direct and lead functional teams - Understanding of Logistics commercial markets - Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills - Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects Responsibilities - Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies - Source cost-effective suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships - Negotiate with external vendors to continuously reduce cost and improve service level. - Approve the service fulfillment bills and follow for payment realization to vendors - Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness - Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients. - Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements - Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs Qualification required - Preferably MBA Experience 10-12 years Location : Bangalore
