Role Purpose   Working under shared service centre in India, the Accountant is responsible for developing and supporting the management/financial accounting framework of Xchanging businesses. The position is expected to assist the Finance Controller/Manager of respective Xchanging businesses assigned.   The Accountant has a key role in Month End closing, forecasting, financial analysis, review of balance sheet and providing timely, accurate and targeted information for management reporting. In some of the cases would require transitioning the role/processes in India.   Key Accountabilities   - Complete understanding of R2R (end to end process) & responsibility for managing Month End independently e.g. Recurring/non-recurring journals/ fixed asset management & payroll processing.  - Responsibility for driving the resolution of open items or issues & owning control of various account e.g. GR/IR, Stock Movements, VAT accounts, Prepayment, Deferred Income/Expenses, Accrued Income/Expenses, Pension Accounts, Corporation Tax, Payroll Accounts, ESOPs & Intercompany etc  - Responsibility for review of TBs to ensure the monthly closure of BS related accounts and relevant P&L accounts  - Responsibility for ensuring smooth periodic calls with onshore counterpart and maintaining strong business relations to facilitate the further transition of activities to offshore  - Monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management, debtors and creditors management, intercompany balance agreement etc  - Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation pack containing the details of each individual balance sheet account code  - Drive half yearly/annual close and ensure timely, accurate and complete results reporting  - Responsibility for financial control and variance analysis of relevant P&L and balance sheet items  - Supporting Finance Manager in maintaining the rolling quarterly 3 years forecast process   - Drive process improvements and standardisation projects and other initiatives related to costs and recoveries optimisation  - Adhoc tasks as and when required  Qualification Required- Qualified accountants / Non-Qualified Accountants  Neha Pant
